Tips on Viewing Photos
Clicking on a title will take you to the "thumbnails" page for that photo section. The dates displayed to the right of the titles indicate either:
  • When the most recent picture in that section was taken, or...
  • When the most recent picture in that section was edited, or...
  • When the most recent picture in that section was digitized, or...
  • When the pictures in that section were posted to the web, or...
  • A date that is in some way related to the pictures in that section, or...
  • A typographical error

There may be exceptions, however, so please do not use those dates in any legal documents or proceedings.

When viewing the thumbnails, you can click on any image to see a larger version. The thumbnail images are displayed (with some exceptions) starting with the most recent photo.
When viewing the individual photo (except for a few of the very old sections), you can click the "Prev" or "Next" links to view the previous or next image respectively.
You may also click the "Turn Auto Play On" link to view the images as a slide-show. There is a delay of approximately 5 seconds between each photo. The link will change to "Turn Auto Play Off" allowing you to stop the slide-show.
Underneath the image is a "Larger Image" link. Clicking this link will open a new window, and display the current image in its original size. Some of the images are rather large, so it may take a few seconds (depending on your connection speed) for the image to arrive.
A couple notes on viewing the large images: Depending on the browser you are using, the image may automatically scale to fit within the window. This is the default setting for Internet Explorer version 6 or later, Also a default with IE 6, allowing the mouse to "hover" over the image will pop up a small box at the lower-right corner of the image. Clicking this box will expand the image to full-size (use the scroll-bars to move around the image, as it will almost certainly be larger than your screen).
You may also see a small "toolbar" at the upper-left corner of the image. This toolbar gives you options to save or print the image, for example. You can also right-click on the image for other options.

If you wish to print an image, you will get the best results from printing the larger images. If you do not have a photo-quality printer, you do have a couple options. You can save the image(s) to disk, copy them to a floppy or CD-ROM (they can be large, so CD-ROM is a better bet), and take them to a photo finishing store or a do-it-yourself kiosk.
